Diamonds and Crosses

Description: A small kilim edging the repetitive diamond and repetitive cross pattern either end with with stripes, delicate zigzags and circular decorative elements. Diamonds and crosses are said to represent protection and zigzags representing flowing water and its importance in life.

Origin: Kurdistan (any of the four regions), Iran, Turkey.

Measurements: Approx 102cm x 79cm (6cm tassel each end)

Colours: Orange, red, teal, white, yellow, indigo, mustard, dark fuchsia, black and bright green.
